This is a train store, so no plastic kits (other than trains of course) or militaria. But this is the only hobby store in south Los Angeles or Orange counties that still carries a complete line of scratch building supplies. Arnie's has everything for dioramas. This is a large store, well stocked with a knowledgable staff. I did not include a photo as their website will give you a virtual tour of the store.
Evergreen and Plastruct plastic, full line of sheets and shapes. Midwest stripwood and sheets (balsa, basswood, hardwoods), scale lumber. K&S metal products (brass shapes and tubes, piamo wire). A good selection of tools and paints. Decal papers. A variety of different glues. Scenery material and ready made (Woodland Scenics and European brands). Hardware, miniature screws, nuts, bolts, chain, wire.
